well as yall probably know I got into an argument with a mod and now I have a 5 day ban. I was hoping you people could tell me things that happen in SP while I wait this out

Breaking ER news!

Be warmed if you have a account on SP, a hacker is sending random people a email saying you were getting banned and is asking for personal information, including your credit card info, it WILL look legit but it is not, always check the email address first before replying with any of this info. The mods and devs would never ask for your personal info without asking for consent from you, so be warned and do not click on anything suspicious in your email, we will keep everyone updated on the satus of this problem, thank you.

NEW PLATFORM
Simple Planes is now available on GOG.com I think. it is for windows and mac users and will update the same way the steam version updates. HAVE FUUUUUUN

SOOOOOOOOO....
well after careful browsing I can honestly say nothing is going on right now. people are glitching and simpletech is recruiting but that's it.

STORY TIME :D
I shall now entertain you with a story to cheer everyone up.

ONCE on a dark and stormy night in the Bermuda triangle a conflict was brewing. hidden in the shadows time lies a dead soul. death by lightning was his fate but life was not ready to let go of the charred remains of this lad. a stream carried the body into the ocean. the next day some hardy fishermen were.... well fishing. they yelled and pulled and drinked. it was quite a show. the fish were swimming about trying to avoid the inevitable fate of brightening up the day of a flesh covered noise maker by laying down next to some French fries and ketchup. soon the joyful men were laying about drinking and eating that poor fish from before. "HEY. THERE IS SOMETHING OVER ON THE STARBORD SIDE CAP" one of the men yelled. floating around the calm ocean was the body of the man from earlier. soon he was on board the ship. "he is dead" said another crew member. they would get back to the mainland and bring the body to the coast guard. it was a three day trip... but it was the longest three days of the crews life. on day one two loyal men died from a huge storm knocking them into the huge abyss below the water. By day two the cold from all the water after mother natures fury had given half the fishermen hypothermia. the ships heating was damaged so it was one cold night. Finally on day three many of the crew died of sickness. when they reached the shore a storm was brewing and all members had to go to the hospital. only one died. the captain that day was struck by lightning. fearing for their lives all emergency vehicles left him. as he floated into the ocean a silent whisper of the wind could be heard. it said "they are next". the body washed up... on Bermuda.

Well all kindle fire users are in luck as simpleplanes is now on amazon underground. this is an amazon service for fire devices which offer games free with free IAPs. this means fire users can now get SP for free. anyone using a fire and is new? GET IT NOW.

message: Just wanted to let everyone know that SimplePlanes is now available on Amazon Underground. If you haven't heard, Underground is a fairly new Amazon app store that has tons of games and apps that are actually free. It's worth checking out if you haven't before.

I'm General360 and I'm the new shoutout poster for KingDeadshot's site and today and welcome to the SP shoutouts of the week, after scouring through my followers and the newest section on SimplePlanes.com I've found the best builds of the week made by stangers on the Internet, I want to note that we have had requests to put pics of the shoutouted vehicle so I will put pics up, anyway lets get started!

RISE OF THE RANTS
If you scroll through the forum pages on SimplePlanes.com odds are you will at least see one rant per page. Ever since the new update this stuff has been happening a lot. Maybe the update has a few bugs that need to be fixed. Has the update betrayed its users? Well its definitely betrayed the mods as they are scrambling to control these posts.

SPEAKING OF MODS
Well while we are talking about mods Andrew Garrison is taking requests for the summer season coming. Here is the full message.

With summer quickly approaching, we are considering adding a few more moderators to the site. With all the students that are suddenly going to have a lot more time on their hands, we will need some help keeping this site clean and friendly!
We are looking for people with the following qualities:

1. Must be at least 16 years old
2. Must have a level head. You must be able to prevent and resolve conflict....not participate in it.
3. Must be able to access the site most days

Here's what the job looks like:

1. Check the mod queue often and deal with reported posts and comments
2. Ideally the job will take less than 30 minutes per day for all moderators
3. You get the cool red mod flair
4. This a volunteer job. You can quit any time, just give us a heads up!

If you are interested, let us know via the contact form at the bottom of the page. Tell us the following:

1. What's your user name on the site?
2. How long have you been a part of the community?
3. What time zone are you in?
4. Why do you think you'd be a good mod?

Note: I highly recommend typing your application in a text editor and pasting into the contact form in case the contact form eats your message and errors out.

Top challenges of the week

Today im featuring the most interesting SP challenges of the day, I will aay to mix things up a little, anyone can have their challenges featured because, why not?

Kicking off our list is TheFalloutPlayer and his WW1 challenge, where if you haven't guessed it already, its to make a plane from WW1 and if your a replica fan then you might want to have a look,

Moving on is a cool challenge for car designers, zombie apocalypse planners, or both, its the Zombie proof car challenge, the point is to make a badass car that can survive a few waves of zombie attacks, this is a particularly fun one so be sure to go check it out.

For those who want a nerve ranking challenge, try out the No-Test challenge, the point is to make a plane, but you can't test fly it so you don't know how well your aircraft functions making this a very hard challenge!

The last challenge I picked completely randomly but seemed like fun for food lovers (or most americans who love bacon) is the Flying food challenge, where if you haven't guessed it, is to make a piece of food fly, need I say more?

Top 3 builds of the day

I saw a few good builds today and I just had to make a post shoutouting these amazing designs and prototypes. I ant to say before we begin that I may make another website or add on to this one for SP news if it is popular enough, that being said lets being the list!

Kicking off our list is chrismllr, and his Halo Warthog Prototype which is graphically amazing for a prototype and a first build, not to mention it handles and funtions very well as well. My only problem with it is directions weren't provided in the description and I needed to guess how to use it.

Next up is touchface and his UNI-platform vehicle, again I don't like it doesn't have directions and you need to figure out how to drive yourself but it's amazing and can lag some mobile users.

Finally ending our list is wingnutmonkeynut and his TVU-18 MPV tank which is way to big for mobile users but still looks pretty damn good!

Sorry I didn't have much to say today but I didn't have a lot of time to type, due to I need to study for a test so I had to keep it brief. Like at said at the beginning I might start doing a SP news if these shoutouts are popular enough. All thats left to say is congrats to our three winners of the day!

Kicking off out list is Noahproblem with his Cerberus plane its very amazing and simple, though I wish there was a good backstory, and such in the description this plane earns a spot on out list.

This barley qualifies due to the builder, Rugspeedersdude, being near gold but technically he is atill silver and his  Star Wars Alpha-52 "Shrike" Starfighter is amazingly detailed, And has a amazing cockpit view, but its condemned to #9 on this list due to the fact the builder is near gold, it doesn't have the best of handling, and I think the guns could have been XML modded so it fires realistically but what do you expect,p? Its Star Wars so its cool!

Swan-Bomb Pack which is amazing for a WIP build and definitely need checking out.

This isn't as much as a plane as much as a hallarious way to cheat and find Snowstone island. Made

by Robertobean the SnowStone Express is a hallarious way to teleport to Snowstone and sometimes through it and definitely deserves a bit more attention.

This improvement on someone elses build just ruined my childhood improved by InovationTech, the Tomas the tank engine OF DEATH is pretty much just that, your favorite tank engine from when you were 3 turned to the dark side, I need to applaud for this strange add on to the build.

This definitely deserves more attention at number 1 at out countdown is SkrillEclipse and his
THK-50 Armored Troop Transport for its easy-to-modify profile, and detailed directions for such a good car and pulls in on our top spot on this top 5 countdown.


I hope everyone enjoyed this list and if it gets enough support I will continue it.
